Dean HackamovitchNews just in!  Dean Hachamovitch, the guy who runs the Internet Explorer team, will be one of our keynoters at MIX.  As he promised on the IE Blog, Dean is going to share more about Internet Explorer 8 including a sneak peek at some of the features his team have been hard at work on.  Dean’s keynote at MIX06 was one of the highlights of the inaugural MIX conference.  Since then, IE shipped a new version with a new UI and dramatically improved standards support, and the browser industry has heated up with an emphasis on web standards and new entries in the browser market.  You won’t want to miss this keynote to see how the next version of Internet Explorer is shaping up and learn how Internet Explorer 8 fits into today’s browser marketplace.

Please tell me that you will include a spell checker function within IE8.  Also, will it be possible for new sessions to be created for each tab, rather than the entire browser.  This would be very helpful for development.

bvanha  you have so hit it on the spot.

I also love that IE8 passed that pesky ACID test.

ieSpell.com and IE7Pro.com have been so successful becuase they do those two things individually relatively well, still buggy in some ways, but it's good enough for now.

New UI for IE 8?  Don't think so it the same as IE 7 you still cant customize 1/3 as much as you could in IE 6,5 and 4. It was a major flaw in both the beta's of IE 7 and now in IE 8 and one that  Microsoft  number one competition Fire Fox  dose not have.  Weather they want to admit it or not, Microsoft just  simply refuses to address this flaw. The way the tool bars are set, it the way Microsoft's corporate management  wants windows to look period and they will not change on this. There is no valid reason for it it just their decision and that decision is final.
